Art of Anarchy

Alright, so this new-ish group has got me all intrigued since their debut in the social media world.  Back on January 21st, Art of Anarchy made their introduction to Facebook with a detailed description of the band, members, and early release details for the debut album.

"The band started out of an 18-year friendship between Bumblefoot and the Votta brothers, dating back to the local New York music scene. Jon Votta approached Bumblefoot with the idea of putting together a unique new rock band that would have people talking. They knew Weiland would be the ideal singer to handle the band’s musical diversity. Once Weiland was on-board, the band was completed by the aggressive, precise, melodic bass of career-rocker John Moyer." -Art of Anarchy

So as you can see, the band current boasts GnR guitarist Bumblefoot, the Votta brothers (Jon and Vince), Disturbed bassist John Moyer, and vocal addition from Scott Weiland.  This is definitely a super group to be following in 2015.  Despite the ongoing issues with Weiland and his hard stance against the title of vocalist (and unwillingness to tour with the group), the band is pressing on as Scott ensures his solo efforts are his priority.  As Bumblefoot explained in a Rolling Stone interview:

"Art of Anarchy is not competition or a threat or interference to what any of us are doing - it's a complement, an addition, one I'm proud of creatively.  No need to minimize or undermine or devalue a project we all worked on together over the course of two years. I enjoyed working with Scott. And I'm looking forward to the Wildabouts album release, the Bumblefoot album release, and the Art of Anarchy album release. The more music the better, it's what we do, right?  :)  Artists do collaborations and a month later, their own album comes out. This is normal stuff. All good."

So even though this relationship seems to be off to a rocky start (with Scott?  Noooooo way!), it still seems to be a highly anticipated release for 2015. I think the notoriety of Bumblefoot and Moyer alone would drive some likes and follows to their social media campaigns (and album sales).  Forgive me that I am not very familiar with the Votta brothers, so I guess a sample of the band's music might be the best way to determine the strength of the group:

So have they caught your attention yet?  I know they did right off the bat as the influences of Disturbed, STP, and GnR are seeping through the previewed tracks.

So a few of the album details have been released so far.  The self-titled album will be released on June 2nd, 2015 via Another Century (partner label of Century Media Records), and will contain eleven tracks.
