AB III.5

Now I am getting personally getting excited about this.  Alter Bridge haven't been making waves in the music world too often now that Creed has decided to start back up again and Mr. Myles Kennedy touring with Slash for his solo album.  When Creed got back together, I honestly thought Alter Bridge would be ultimately done for.  This is not the case for any of the members, especially Kennedy.

Nonetheless, Alter Bridge has decided to release AB: III.5.  A CD/DVD combo which is due to hit stores on October 25th, has a lot of bonus features the initial release did not have.  You can click on the link above to pre-order a copy of the album from Amazon.  Here is a breakdown of what the combo entails:

DVD:

"One By One" is a documentary by award-winning filmmaker and "Live From Amsterdam" director Daniel E. Catullo III (Rush, Chickenfoot, Smashing Pumpkins), intended to be an intimate behind-the-scenes look into the rise of Alter Bridge. Featuring brand new interviews and concert footage shot all over the world, plus special interviews with Slash, Alter Bridge's management team, and dozens of fans from every corner of the globe, viewers will learn about the sacrifices made by the band to get where they are today and why they continue to do what they do so passionately.

This sounds to me like a way to keep fans enticed and eager to hear more and see more of Alter Bridge.  Kennedy has been asked to record vocal tracks for all of Slash's new material for his sophomore album, while the three remaining members focus 2012 on Creed.  Hopefully another album will be surfacing in 2013 (if we can wait that long!).
