Music News For January 19th, 2012

Happy Thursday to everyone on the world wide web!  Now that everyone is back to business after this SOPA Strike, AFGM has found quite a bit to post about.  Anyways, here is what is making [AFGM] headlines...

Switzerland's Eluveitie has released yet another music video for their newest album "Helvetios", which is set to be released February 28th, 2012 via Nuclear Blast Records.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum (located in Cleveland, Ohio) has finally opened their library and archives to the public.  This allows scholars and fans alike access to items including personal letters penned by Madonna, Aretha Franklin and even rare concert footage of the Rolling Stones on tour in the early 80's.

The RRHF collection, which includes over 3,500 books, 1,400 audio recordings and 270 videos, can be seen in a new four-story building (valued at $12 million) located on the Cuyahoga Community College campus in Cleveland. The building was funded by the college, and the institution will shares its archives with the college's Center for Creative Arts.

As if the world isn't anticipating the release of Lamb of God's 7th full length album, "Resolution", the Virginia based quintet have released an animated music video for their first single "Ghost Walking":

Bullying has seemed to be a hot topic with a few bands and musicians in the rock genre.  Specifically, Disturbed's David Draiman and Trivium's Corey Beaulieu.  Draiman has released a series of tweets in hopes to raise awareness to some of his followers and the ever-growing trend of cyber-bullying.



Beaulieau sat down and shared his personal feelings on the subject of bullying:

Mike Portnoy's latest endeavor, super-group Adrenaline Mob, have released their latest single (via iTunes) titled "Undaunted".  This single is being taken from their first full length album "Omerta", due in stores on March 13th, 2012 via EMI Records.

On a bonus note, track seven of their upcoming album has featured vocals performed by Halestorm's Lzzy Hale for the rendition of "Come Undone" (originally performed by Duran Duran).

Fans of Lacuna Coil will be excited to hear that they can head to here to check out the entire new album "Dark Adrenaline", thanks to Spin Magazine.


"Dark Adrenaline" is scheduled for release on January 24th, 2012 via Century Media Records.
