So you remember everyone's favourite Irish Punk band the Dropkick Murphys? Well, other than the Flogging Mollys or The Mahones, my other two guilty pleasures. Well, it seems that the guys have a new tour booked and a new album on the way, soon to hit your doorstep on January 8th, 2013.
"This is just the opposite of that, just us having fun and making the most catchy, singalong kind of songs we can. It's not that the last album wasn't fun. It was. 'Going Out in Style' is one of the records I'm most proud of, of anything we've done. But it gave me a couple migraines along the way, getting through that because everything was so connected. This time we cut loose." -Ken Casey

In case you haven't been following their social media recently, the band has been asking fans to tattoo themselves with the new [album] logo from the cover and send photos and videos to their website (by Sept. 19th, 2012). The image winners will be used in the packaging for the CD and vinyl album release, which will once again be released on the DM's own "Born & Bred Records".
"We like it; it's kind of like put your money where your mouth is, put up or shut up. If the label didn't do the job, there's no one else to blame but ourselves now. We're all kinds of hands-on guys; we started with our own label, Flat Records, and used to put out local 45s and stuff, so we're right back where we started." -Casey
