Music Video Round-Up For January 6th, 2014

Welcome back everyone to a fresh new AFGM in 2014.  So I decided to start things off with the key word "fresh".  Seeing that most bands have finished their holiday season and are now back to work with new albums/tours, I decided to put some focus on some new groups that I have not yet listened to.  With the thousands of bands and artists releasing music, then releasing side projects, and then solo projects, it can get a little confusing and tiring at the same time.  That mentality should not deter you from exploring new artists (and heaven forbid genres).  Everyone has to start somewhere right?

So listed below are bands that I found and listened to completely by chance (and with a little help of my YouTube subscriptions).  So if I am able to spend an afternoon finding a solid block of new bands for my enjoyment, there should be no reason for you to find ONE band that's new and fresh to you.

Hello Lazarus' "A Spaceman Came Travelling" is taken from Scylla Record's compilation album "It's Better To Give Than Receive".  The song is a cover originally performed by Chris De Burgh.

"Underlings" is taken from Us, Ghosts' upcoming album release "Sleepers".  A release date is still pending.

"Get What You Want" is taken from Dearist's upcoming studio release that is yet to be named.  A release date will follow soon.

"Inception" is taken from The Unguided's upcoming album release "Fragile Immortality", which will be released in US/Canada on February 11th, 2014 via Napalm Records. (*For fans of Deadlock and/or Sonic Syndicate)

Come The Dawn is a brand new band from Sumerian Records.  Their debut album is expected sometime in early 2014.  This is the debut single from the group.

So is there something you feel should be on this list?  Is there a new band you are dying to share with friends and online music enthusiasts?  Then  this would be the perfect time to drop a link, band name or your new favourite song.
