Lesser Key Streaming (Self Titled) Debut EP

So this is a new group for moi.  I have seen a few updates here and there for another band added to the Sumerian Records roster.  And to be honest, it's hard to keep up with all the artists coming out and ensuring they are something fresh that's not keeping the wheel revolving.  I will admit as well that the notoriety behind the band got my attention.  When seeing a keyword like "Tool" in the description instantly perks my ears.  What was even better is that founding Tool member Paul D'Amour is actually in the group.  So the influences and styles seem to make a little more sense for Lesser Key.

The first single "Intercession" had great structure and started the band off on the right foot for their international platform.  I think Sumerian made a smart move by adding them to the roster as the group adds a fine blend of melody, catchy choruses, great interludes, and overall fresh sound.  While reading through various reviews from other sites, I tend to agree where we find a mix between early Tool work and hints of Deftones and even some vocal ranges matching current singers like Dallas Green, Daniel Tompkins, or Jared Leto.  If it differs from your perspective of the group, then by all means drop some thoughts on the subject.

Anyways, check out (below) the six song EP that was released today via (you guessed it) Sumerian Records.  Lesser Key consists of Paul D'Amour, Andrew Zamudia, Brett Fanger and Justin Hansen.  (*Side note, the music video for "Intercession" is rather trippy.)
