Amaranthe consists of (*in no particular order):
Jake E - clean vocals | Elize Ryd - clean vocals | Olof Mörck - guitars, keyboards
Morten Løwe Sørensen - drums | Johan Andreassen - bass | Henrik Englund - harsh vocals
The album will feature 12 blistering Swedish metal tracks and featuring new vocal addition Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson (previously from Scarpoint). The band has been very eager to share this material as they introduce something "fresh" for fans to eat up and "raise a few eyebrows" as Olof has mentioned...
"We have lived and breathed this album every hour and every day the last year, and to know that this music is about to reach everyone's ears is beyond exciting. Following the first leg of The Nexus World Tour, we sat down and agreed that we wanted the next album to be really fresh, new and even to raise a few eyebrows, all while retaining our signature sound." -Olof Mörck
While I have been listening to these folks faithfully since their first EP, I have become increasingly impressed with each release, true to the notion that they are continually trying to outdo themselves in previous efforts.
"Massive Addictive is in every way that huge leap forward we wanted to achieve and the album definitely contain our strongest song writing to date. The press often asks us to 'describe the album with three words'; this time, the answer is simple - it's MASSIVE, it's ADDICTIVE, and most importantly, it's AMARANTHE!" -Olof Mörck
"Massive Addictive" will be released on Oct 15th (Japan), Oct 17th (Europe), Oct 20th (UK), Oct 21st (USA/Canada), 2014 via Spinefarm Records. The album was tracked at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark with the sound sorcerer Jacob Hansen (who has also done work with Volbeat, Epica, etc).

"We can now finally unleash the 'Drop Dead Cynical' video, directed by master director Patric Ullaeus. It is energetic, bombastic and explosive, just like you have come to expect from Amaranthe's videos, and the powerful delivery of the song is accentuated by the martial combat throughout the video. As always, you are in for a visual treat; more than 15 MMA fighters, cheerleaders and enough flames to light the heavens on fire! Get ready to be entertained!" -Olof Mörck
Amaranthe are currently in the midst of a North American tour as direct support for Within Temptation. A handful of headline dates have also been announced. Be sure to check for more additions to their 2014/2015 touring schedule and they plan to massively promote this album. Keep checking back for more updates!
