Even though I spend my summers cycling around Toronto, I only tend to get about 20-30kms (approx 60 mins) each day of cardio and zero muscle building. Basically, this whole article is a drawn out blaming of myself for not following the routine. So it's about time to rectify before all the New Years memberships start up for 2015. So hitting the cardio and dropping some calories was in order. While hitting the elliptical machine, I tried to find tunes that I could keep a BPM with. Some of which were a little faster paced than others and could see it in my overall steps.
So I was meaning to put this out to people here. Do you:
- Find music soothing for your workout?
- Find it annoying and prefer to not have anything on?
- Just let the house music dictate?
- Find tunes that mimic the workout pace you are doing?
- Find tunes that motivate you to finish your sets?
Any answer is completely acceptable, but more curious as to why people have music in a gym and if it benefits them physically to have music on. Listed below are some of the top tracks I have rotating on my playlist right now. Hopefully some (if not all) make their way into yours!

And of course there is always the tunes that wind you down after a hard sweat session. So here are a few tunes that have a little less distortion and a little less physically demanding. Never anything wrong with some mellow(er) tunes to bring your heart rate down and relax.
