The Way It Is: The Sheepdogs

The Sheepdogs "wanted to do a song that had a big nasty strut. Nothing packs a punch like a two-note riff. It's lean and mean." (-Ewan Currie)

Well, sure enough we got what they promised.  Saskatoon's SHEEPDOGS have announced a new self-titled album, along with a new single ("The Way It Is") to boot!  The album is looking to have a September 4th released date, with pre-orders happening now!

Now mind you since it's still very early stages for the album, we don't have a track listing, only an album cover.  We did however get some insight from front man Ewan Currie into tapping Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney for the production of this album...

"I think Patrick [Carney] has a good sense of no bullshit.  A lot of making rock'n'roll is about cutting the fat and being a good filter. In the studio, he helped us refine the songs and found the best representation of each one possible. Plus, we wanted to be able to incorporate all different styles and I think our album runs the gamut." -Ewan Currie
