Atlanta has a new psychedelic movement happening with the emerging group Monstro. Comprised of members from former projects such as Bloodsimple, Still Rain and Danzig, these guys have been eagerly waiting the release of the debut album scheduled for release September 6, 2011 via Vagrant Records.

Bassist Kyle Sanders shed some light on the record and the process behind it:
“We didn’t waste a moment (in the studio), and it worked like a band is supposed to work. The album gets spacey, dreamy, and tripped-out, and then it gets straight-up heavy. I want it to be some kind of escape for people and for them to walk away from it happy and feeling completed in some way.”
The album was produced and followed closely by Alice In Chains' lead vocalist William Duvall (seen below):
