Now I must admit that this group has been hit and miss with me in the past. To this day, I still have my handful of songs ("Heretics and Killers", "Blindfolds Aside", "Hair-trigger", etc.) that I am impressed with from Canada's Protest The Hero. But all the hype and anticipation surrounding their new album "Volition" has even got my ears perked.
"Volition" is the product of hard work, a dedicated fan base and some friends up their sleeves. The album was funded entirely through crowd-funding campaigns, which goes to show the amount of faith and love fans put into these hard working guys. Exceeding well beyond their $125,000 goal, the group came to a crossroads when long time drummer Moe Carlson had decided to part ways with the group and head back to school.
[Enter friend up sleeve] Chris Adler whom you all know as drummer for Lamb of God had agreed to sit in and track their drum needs for the album. Not a bad way to get an album off the ground in a hurry. So here we are with an ENTIRE free stream of the album (due to the album being leaked in advance).

"Volition" comes out on October 29th, 2013 via Razor & Tie Records.
*Just because they crowd funded their album doesn't mean you should steal it. If you like the band and the album, buy it and show some love.
