Full Album Stream: The Francesco Artusato Project - Our Dying Sun

So one of the newest sections I created was "Full Album Streams".  Not only did this gave folks something to listen to when they are cruising the site (being that the original intention of this site was to acts as a hub to explore), but also a chance for people to explore new artists, new genres, and new albums before deciding to purchase them (also from links on AFGM's site).

Full album streams seem to be a new fad that a lot of internet savvy people are jumping on.  It can be in the form of a Soundcloud widget, a YouTube playlist, or even a single YouTube video.  This often gives record labels a chance to promote new artists and for people to subscribe to their social media pages.  So hopefully this provides you access to some new music, bands, and/or artists.  Cheers!

PS - Feel free to send us an email if you have any albums you think you should be on this list or a new one coming out we missed.  We're always listening!

"Artusato was born in Italy and is a product of a very musical family. He started playing saxophone at the age of 14 and switched to guitar when he was 19. After graduating Suma Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in 2006, he relocated to Los Angeles where he has been busy with recording, touring and teaching. His most notable accomplishment to date was being invited back to Boston in 2008 to perform 1st electric guitar for Vuk Kulenovic's "Electric Symphony", a 70 minute massive symphony, sharing the stage with such renowned musicians as Kenwood Dennard on drums (Miles Davis, Sting, Chick Corea) and conducted by Tibor Pusztai." -Facebook

"Our Dying Sun" was released on October 6th, 2014 via Sumerian Records.  Featured guitarists on this album included Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry), Wes Hauch (ex-The Faceless), and Ryan Knight (The Black Dahlia Murder).

"Explosive technicality combined with musical taste and an energetic sense of phrase is the main emphasis behind the Chaos and The Primordial album. This effort is composed of 10 tracks of all instrumental music that explore the rock/metal language in singular ways through the artistic and innovative mind of Berklee College of Music graduate Francesco Artusato. This debut solo effort showcases Artusato's unparallel guitar prowess and songwriting ability as he handles all of the album's arrangements and instrumentation. Throughout 10 truly diverse tracks he takes the listener on an all encompassing musical journey and the depth and diversity in which he does so is astonishing." -Facebook

“This album is definitely an evolution from the first one that was released in 2011. I really focused on the song writing aspect more than the pure technical aspect of playing guitar this time. Some songs are more fun and what you would expect from a rock/metal guitar instrumental record, others are just more intense with a darker mood and some others are a little more abstract. The more technical guitar playing is accompanied by a more soulful playing and I love that. This album is pretty much the portrait of the guitar player I am today.” -Francesco Artusato
