Parkway Drive - IRE

Well if it wasn't sweet enough that I was catching Parkway Drive in Montebello in the coming weeks, the group just announced their new album "IRE"!  I am beyond stoked to hear some new material both online and live at Rockfest!

The guys have always put on a top notch show in the years I've caught them through Toronto (The Reverb, The Opera House, Phoenix Concert Hall, etc), and that will only continue when fans get a chance to hear the new single "Vice Grip", which you can check out below.

What a crushing song to kick off the album right?!  The video setting wasn't too shabby either.  I feel this is one band that can do no wrong.  Their fan base is very accepting of their style changes, but the band themselves have not veered too far from their core sound, which makes fans more eager with each album.  Sure, there is more melody to some of their newer songs, but makes for a great experience with the fans.  Elitist would prefer could argue the music has been watered down, but I feel the band simply is looking to translate these tunes into their live performance.  There's nothing like a crowd of screaming fans, similar to the end of the video (around the three minute mark).

So for all those looking to grab themselves a copy of IRE, it will be released on September 25th, 2015 via Resist/Epitaph Records.  This will mark the fifth release from Parkway Drive, and also the fifth with longtime label Epitaph.

"This is the album for us. Every single step of the way, whenever there was gamble to take, we took the biggest one we could.

If this isn’t the album that can go further than anything we thought was possible with this band and this type of music, that’s fine, but we can’t go back from this as far as we’re concerned." -Winston McCall

Be sure to check back for anymore updates, songs, and/or music videos.  Hope you all get the chance to catch them live in the coming months!
